  • Today - April 19. 3 PM. Plainfield Music Club: Celebrating Mendelssohn's 200th. A sumptuous feast of Mendelssohniana, from popular favorites (Ron Thayer will perform the Wedding March from 'A Midsummer Night's Dream') to rare treats such as the Sonata in D major for cello and piano. At Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church, East 7th Street and Watchung Avenue (parking in lot on First Place or at Swain Galleries). Freewill offering. Proceeds benefit the scholarship program of The Plainfield Music Club. The public is cordially invited.

  • Today - April 19. 3 PM. Benefit Concert. Featuring Plainfield's own Vicki Griswold, piano; Judy Boehm, soprano; Harry Thompson, baritone; Barbara Glover, trumpet; and the Mt. Horeb choirs. At Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church, 42 Liberty Corner Road, Warren, NJ. Donation: $10.
