  • Friday - January 1. 11 AM. 'Installation Ceremony'. Sharon Robinson-Briggs will take up her second term as mayor, Bridget Rivers will become the 4th Ward Councilor. Despite the website announcement (see here), the legal action is 'swearing in'.

  • Friday - January 1. 1 PM. City Council Reorganization. Council reorganizes. Mayor Sharon Robinson-Briggs will present the State of The City address. At City Council Chambers/Courthouse. Watchung Avenue and East 4th Street.

  • Friday - January 1. 5 PM. Reception for Council President Annie McWilliams. The community is cordially invited to a reception in honor of the election of Councilor-at-large Annie McWilliams as Plainfield's youngest ever City Council president. Come celebrate the occasion and offer your wishes for the New Year. At the McWilliams home, 1341 Prospect Avenue.
