PLAINFIELD

Plainfield Today: "The Stations"

Dear Friends -- Our beloved friend and former Mayor, Al McWilliams, passed away early this morning. He was taken to St. Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick yesterday, after a months-long battle with renal cancer. As the family makes arrangements and they are made public, I will keep you posted. Please keep Darlene and the family -- Annie, Allison, Albert Jr., Adam, and Avery in your thoughts and prayers. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at --
1341 Prospect Avenue
Plainfield, New Jersey 07060

PHS Violence: "PBA says violence at PHS being mishandled" -- Courier story NOT online; PT is posting as a public service.
Shooting - SL: "Plainfield cops probing shooting, drug arrest link"
..... - CN: "Two shot in Plainfield; one drives from scene" -- The Courier version is replete with questionable, if not outright incorrect, statements.

Foreclosures: "Allies against foreclosure" -- Help for those who need it.

Good Friday closings:
State and local governments and courts, CLOSED. Federal buildings, Postal Service, OPEN. Banks, schools, OPTIONAL.

Route 78 Construction Updates: "DOT Construction Updates" -- Delays can run 15-20 minutes during AM rush hour.

Got a tip? Question? Click here to send PT an email.

CONNECTIONS?

Paul Moran: "Pastor to two flocks struggles to bridge ethnic divide" -- This is a good essay for Good Friday, about coming to grips with tensions between Anglo and Hispanic communities. Morristown is the setting, but there are implications for many New Jersey towns, Plainfield included.
