  • VOTER REGISTRATION: The Plainfield Alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Phi fraternity is conducting a voter registration drive at the Plainfield Public Library. Today and tomorrow, from 5:00 - 8:45 PM, will be the last opportunities to register with this assistance.   • Tomorrow - October 9. 6:30 PM. Dr. Gallon's 'State of the District' Address. Plainfield Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Steve Gallon will report to the community on the state of the district as we enter the 2008-09 school year. At the newly-opened Emerson Community School, East Third Street and Emerson Avenue. All are welcome.

  • Friday - October 10. 5:30 PM Sharp bus departure. Community Trip: Walking With Dinosaurs: The Live Experience. Bus trip sponsored by the Recreation Division to the show at the Izod Center at the Meadowlands. Bus departs City Hall parking lot at 5:30 PM sharp. Show starts at 7:30 PM, bus will return to City Hall parking lot at 11:00 PM. $55/person includes show ticket and round-trip transportation. First come, first served.
