  • Today - December 25. 8 AM. Christmas Day Breakfast. A scrumptious, old-fashioned hearty -- the 'works' -- breakfast served to those in need or those who are lonely on Christmas Day. Holiday music. Gifts of personal items for those in need. At First-Park Baptist Church, West 7th Street and Central Avenue. Parking in the lot on Central Avenue, entrance to Fellowship Hall is off the parking lot. FREE. (Any donations will help fund the church's 'Fishes and Loaves' program.)

  • Today - December 25. Noon - 3:30 PM. Christmas Day Dinner. A holiday meal with the trimmings, for those who are alone or in need. At First Unitarian Society of Plainfield, 724 Park Avenue. FREE.

  • Tomorrow - December 26. Kwanzaa Begins.

  • Saturday - December 27. 1 - 6 PM. Kwanzaa Celebration. Celebrate the year-end festival (from Dec. 26 to Jan. 1) of family, community and culture with crafts, vendors, dance & drumming, storytelling, poetry, foods and a special Kwanzaa program. Special guests: The Cherokee Nation of New Jersey. Sponsored by the Division of Recreation. At Washington Community School, 427 Darrow Avenue (parking in the Spooner Avenue lot). FREE.

  • Sunday - December 28. 3 PM. Health Care: A Community Forum. Sponsored by Muhlenberg Independents. At the United Church of Christ, West 7th Street and Madison Avenue. FREE.
