PLAINFIELD

PLAINFIELD TODAY:
BREAKING, 10 AM: Received word of a possible homicide, which would be the 6th of 2008. Female. Facial/head injuries. No further details. Will update as word becomes available. -- Dan

Be sure to check out fellow Plainfield bloggers: Bernice on 2008: Schools are second top issue. Maria wonders why not count UP to 10 for Plainfield? And muses on the District's IT as well as abusive comments. Olddoc posts Season's Greetings. (And to you, too, Olddoc!). Plainfield Sports News reports PHS girls breeze past East Side, but the IronMen didn't do as well in Detroit. The Assemblyman, chair of the Assembly committee that deals with housing, provides some primary documents on the affordable housing dust-up: what seems to be an Assembly press release on the denial of a hearing to grant an extension, and a statement from Sen. Ray Lesniak on COAH reform legislation, as well as the letter from DCA Commissioner Doria denying the deadlilne extension. Whew! And you thought Christmas Eve would be a slow news time.

There is also a story on Rubye Hickerson's and Ernestine Cash's The BUS Shop, in print only so far. Will post if it comes online.
