WHAT'S HAPPENING
- Tomorrow - April 1. 7 PM. Plainfield Democratic City Committee Meeting. Called by chairperson Assemblyman Jerry Green to consider candidates for the June primary. At the YWCA of Central NJ, 232 East Front at Church Street. Guests are welcome.
- Friday - April 2. 6 - 9 PM. Artist's Reception: Gerry Heydt. Plainfield artist Gerry Heydt is featured in a show of landscapes and still lifes. Careful observers will note the Plainfield locales of many of the landscapes. The show runs through May 2. At Studio 7 Fine Art Gallery, 5 Morristown Road (Rt 202), Bernardsville.
- Friday - April 2. 7:30 PM. Good Friday Tenebrae Service. Tenebrae, one of the ancient services of Holy Week, will be observed in a performance by the Crescent Singers. At Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church, East 7th Street and Watchung Avenue (parking in lot on First Place or at Swain Galleries).
- Sunday - April 4. 1 - 4 PM. Free Easter Dinner. As is its custom every year, the First Unitarian Society of Plainfield offers an Easter dinner to any who may be alone or hungry on Easter Day. All are welcome for this meal, prepared and served by volunteers from the parish. At First Unitarian Society of Plainfield, 724 Park Avenue. (Parking in city lot across street.)
