  • Tomorrow - March 18. 7 PM. LWV Forum: Charter Schools: Issues and Opportunities. Moderated by Plainfield League of Women Voters president Herb Green, this program brings together resources for a thorough discussion of issues facing families considering a charter school. Participants: Heather Ngoma, director of the NJ Charter School Resource Center; Superintendent Steve Gallon III, where an in-district alternative Arts and Advance Studies school begins this fall; and a representative of a Plainfield charter school. At Emerson Community School, East 3rd Street and Emerson Avenue.

  • Thursday - March 19. 7 PM. FOSH Meeting. The Friends of Sleepy Hollow meet to discuss issue of importance to residents and to plan activities for the community, among which a favorite is always the annual FOSH Yard Sale, which draws thousands of visitors to the Queen City.
