- Wednesday - March 18. 7 PM. LWV Forum: Charter Schools: Issues and Opportunities. Moderated by Plainfield League of Women Voters president Herb Green, this program brings together resources for a thorough discussion of issues facing families considering a charter school. Participants: Heather Ngoma, director of the NJ Charter School Resource Center; Superintendent Steve Gallon III, where an in-district alternative Arts and Advance Studies school begins this fall; and a representative of a Plainfield charter school. At Emerson Community School, East 3rd Street and Emerson Avenue.

The Friends of Sleepy Hollow meet to discuss issue of importance to residents and to plan activities for the community, among which a favorite is always the annual FOSH Yard Sale, which draws thousands of visitors to the Queen City.
