: Bernice on the sounds of summer's end -- Snowy Tree Crickets. Olddoc asks status of Dudley House, and Super Gallon's contract. Maria raises question of whether the District supported the 'Race to the Top' grant. Councilor Mapp writes in support of Councilor Cory Storch. Jerry is invited by the Clark schools to give the keynote at the districtwide 'Welcome Back' meeting. Councilor Storch demands Jerry cease-and-desist in smearing Bridgeway. Councilor McWilliams posts a letter regarding the commemoration of Muhlenberg's closing; and notes that two of her F.A.I.R. ordinances recently passed. Plainfield Sports News has a busy weekend: Bishop Ahr v. PHS scrimmage; 6 fight ticket at Taj Mahal; Sky Blue FC takes a hit; and Thunder wraps series in Harrisburg.

Don't miss these personal blogs by Plainfielders, each with a point of view: Rebecca Williams' Confessions of a Bathrobe Blogger holds Cory Storch up as an exemplar of public service; BOE member Renata Hernandez blogs anew at new blog Standing In The Gap notes the three kinds of people in our lives, and thanks supporters recognizing difference between real concerns and whining; her daughter Milani Hernandez is at PEPTalk: A PPS pupil's perspective; Jackie Schnoop's The (TV) Show Must Go On, picks up Big Brother 12 into the dawn; and Dottie Gutenkauf's Dottie G Sez. There are two personal blogs concerned with the Plainfield public schools: Dr. E=MC² points to involving young people in solving the gang problem (and critiques the Mayor's 'simplistic' Town Hall gambit); and Eye on Plainfield Schools.
