BUDGET: Gov. Corzine's budget message will be broadcast live at 11:30 AM today on NJN, WWOR (Ch 9) and on cable at News12NJ.

DEBATE: The Obama-Clinton debate in Cleveland will be broadcast on MSNBC-TV tonight.

  • Tomorrow - February 27. 8 PM. City Council: Public Hearing and Adoption of FY2008 Budget. Is this the latest budget ever adopted? And no pressure from the state? Must be growth by unity. City Hall Library. 515 Watchung Avenue.

  • Friday - February 29. 7 PM. Van Wyck Brooks Dine-Out at Blackberry's. What better way to celebrate Leap Day than to join friends and neighbors -- or meet some new folks -- than a dinner out at Plainfield's crossroads restaurant -- Blackberry's.   • Sunday - March 2. 2-4 PM. The New Deal's 75th Anniversary. PHS' Henry H. Banta chapter of National Honor Society will re-enact the dramatic 1993 inaugural address of Franklin D. Roosevelt -- the kickoff of the 'New Deal' which combated the country's worst Depression ever. Sponsored by the Historical Society of Plainfield. At the Drake House, 602 West Front Street (at Plainfield Avenue). FREE.
