- Saturday - February 23. 2 PM. Iwa L'ewa African Heritage Dance Ensemble. A presentation of traditional African dance, music and storytelling honoring African ancestors. The ensemble performs with authentic instruments and colorful costumes depicting West African cultures. Chakaba, one of the ensemble's premiere dancers, will perform a special masquerade dance on stilts. Founder/director Yewande Kelly-Johnson is a dancer, choreographer, storyteller and poet who offers African dance classes to youngsters and adults in Plainfield.
