    • Black History Month. Every Sunday in February, 10 AM. Special Black History Month programs at United Church of Christ - Congregational, 220 West 7th Street. Readings, dance, special music, guest speakers. On Feb. 24, a sumptuous feast of Southern delicacies will follow the program. All are invited.
  • Today - February 9. 1 - 3 PM. Exhibit: Uhambo (Zulu for 'journey'). New and vivid oil paintings and charcoal drawings by Plainfield artist Indira Bailey, recipient of a Fulbright-Hayes Fellowship to record her impressions of people and places in South Africa. At the Plainfield Public Library, 8th Street and Park Avenue. Refreshments. FREE. (Snow date: February 16, 1 - 3 PM.)
