- Today - January 30. 7 PM. Concert: Lycoming College Tour Choir. Selected each year by competitive audition from the college's 105-voice College Choir, the Tour Choir presents the very finest in choral music, having performed in venues ranging from St. Patrick's and St. John the Divine cathedrals in New York to the National Cathedral in Washington and California's famed Crystal Cathedral. At Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church, East 7th Street and Watchung Avenue (parking in lot on First Place or at Swain Galleries). No charge, but a freewill offering will be taken.

Grace Episcopal Church opens its Black History Month celebrations with a dramatic reading of Lynn Nottage's most celebrated play, Intimate Apparel. An early 20th century African American seamstress' social network figures in a long-distance romance that leads to the conflict of propriety and transgression on all fronts. - Thursday - February 4. 6:30 PM. Relay For Life Organizing Meeting. Join with the team organizing this year's Relay for Life event in a kickoff meeting, celebrating a world with less cancer and more birthdays! - Thursday - February 4. 6:30 - 9:15 PM. Talk and Exhibit: Negro League Baseball at Yankee Stadium, 1930-48. Join with Robert Scott, former pitcher and first baseman for the NY Black Yankees of the Negro National League, and Dr.Lawrence Hogan, senior history professor at Union County College. The talk will also include memorabilia as well as excerpts from a video of the League's historic first game at Yankee Stadium, July 5, 1930. A special exhibit will feature New Jersey players, including Plainfield's Joe Black, who pitched for the Baltimore Elite Giants before joining the Brooklyn Dodgers. - Monday - February 8. 6 PM. PMUA Rate Hearing. PMUA Commissioners will conduct the public hearing on the agency's proposed 2010 rate changes, at which the public may speak.
