  • Saturday - October 16. Noon - 3 PM. Community Leaders Awards Luncheon. The United Plainfield CDC will honor Rev. LaVerne Ball, Garri Daniels, Christian Estevez, Donald Van Blake, Betty Willey and Daphne Willard.   • Saturday - October 16. Noon (rain or shine). 10th Annual Bridgeway Walk for Independence. The annual 2.5 mile walk helps people with mental illness to achieve self-sufficiency. Bridgeway, serving clients in seven counties in central and northern NJ. Through its recovery-centered support services, its mission is enabling individuals to live as independently as possible, to work and learn in the community and to improve their quality of life.
