The annual health fair offers free testing for: vision; colorectal cancer screening; Pap and breast exams; hypertension; circulation; bone density; HIV; and blood sugar and cholesterol (last two can only be done if fasting). Mini-lectures in Spanish. Refreshments, music, face painting, medical consults. Sponsored by the Coalition of Hispanic Physicians. - Saturday - October 9. 10 AM - Noon. Library Grounds Community Cleanup. Come out and support Plainfield's wonderful library. Volunteers meet on library steps at 9:45 AM. Gloves, rakes and bags will be provided. Both parking lots and the ground will be cleaned, raked and swept. Sponsored by the New Democrats political club.
