City Council members will interview representatives of city departments and divisions in preparation for any amendments to be made to the introduce FY2011 budget. Members of the  Citizens Budget Advisory Committee will also be in attendance. The public is invited. At the main Conference Room, Plainfield Senior Citizens Center, 400 East Front Street. Parking in the lot off East Second Street.

  • Saturday - November 6. 11 AM - 1 PM. Exhibit: 5th Annual Plainfield Public Library Photography Contest. Opening reception and awards presentation for the 2010 photography contest, with the theme 'East Side, West Side, All Around the Town'. Amateur and professional photographers look forward to this annual contest for images of Plainfield daily life. All entries become part of the Library's extensive photography collection. Continuing the PSO's 91st year and Conductor Charles Prince's first full season, the PSO first-ever performance of Gustav Mahler's glorious Symphony No. 1. The concert opens with Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5, with Evelyn Estava as soloist. At 7 PM in the chapel, 'Chat with Charles' will give concertgoers an overview of the evening's program (free with your ticket). The brothers of Zeta Nu Lambda chapter, Plainfield, are hosting a wine tasting, art show and silent auction. Featured visual artist is B. Curtis Grayson  III. Wine tasting starts promptly at 8:06 PM.
