  • Today - January 4. 9:30 Sharp. Free Job Training. Project Ready will be accepting applications for its free six week job preparedness program. Applicants should be prepared to stay until 1:30 PM. The program includes learning basic skills in MS Word, Excel and using the Internet, as well as resumé writing and interview techniques.   • Today - January 4. 5:30 - 7:30 PM.  Reception Honoring Retiring Clerk Laddie Wyatt. Despite my possession of a copy of the invitation saying the event was for January 3rd, I was told last night at the Council reorg that Laddie is to be honored TODAY, January 4. The City of Plainfield and Mayor Sharon Robinson-Briggs invite all to a New Year's reception honoring retiring City Clerk Laddie Wyatt. At City Hall Library, 515 Watchung Avenue (parking in rear).
