  • Thursdays through November 19. 4:30 - 5:30 PM. Free Basic Spanish Classes: A Plainfield Family Success Center Activity. Basic Spanish to help navigate everyday communication situations.   • Thursday - September 24. 8 PM. City Council: Special Meeting. Per discussion at the September 14th meeting, the administration is expected to offer the proposed FY2010 budget. The ordinance providing for tax abatements to buyers of condos at The Monarch is expected to be introduced for first reading. City Hall Library. 515 Watchung Avenue.   • Friday - September 25. 8 PM. 'Bonjour Paris': Concert by Harmonic Brass München . One of the world's finest brass ensembles returns to Plainfield, one of its first US venues, in an exciting program that will benefit King's Daughters Day School. Reserved seats (includes pre-concert reception at Swain Galleries): $50. Regular admission: $25; Seniors: $20; Students: $5. All tickets are $5 more at door.
