- (NEW ITEM) Today - May 7. 5:45 PM. Emergency BOE Meeting. Per a notice in today's Courier, an emergency BOE meeting will be held at Emerson School, following an executive session scheduled for 5:00 PM.
- Today- May 7. 6 PM. City Council/BOE Budget Meeting. The City Council is mandated by law to review and/or propose changes to the BOE budget, which was defeated in a public referendum April 20. Deadline for formal Council action is May 19. At Emerson Community School, East 3rd Street and Emerson Avenue. Public welcome.
- Today - May 7. 9 AM - 4 PM. Book Repair Workshop. Learn simple and intermediate methods to repair, restore, bind and protect books with archival materials. This is the first of three workshops (the others are May 27 and June 25). Bring a problem book for a diagnosis and demonstration on how to repair it. $30/session, includes lunch.
