PRIMARY ELECTION CAMPAIGN BLOGS
A contested Democratic primary for the Wards 2/3 seat this year has three candidates seeking the party line on the November ballot: incumbent Rashid Burney, New Democrat Rebecca Williams, and former Ward 3 councilor Don Davis. - Today - May 4. 7 PM. Board of Ed Reorganization Meeting. Newly-elected board members Rasheed Abdul-Haqq, Wilma Campbell, Renata Hernandez and Keisha Edwards will be sworn in. The Board will also elect its new officers for the 2010-11 year. At the Board of Ed Administration Building (Jefferson School), 1200 Myrtle Avenue. Public welcome.

This is the first of three workshops (the others are May 27 and June 25). Bring a problem book for a diagnosis and demonstration on how to repair it. $30/session, includes lunch.
