Jerry gets feedback from Bernice and Olddoc.. Maria finds a Fury button and gang graffiti.. Jerry offers a Jerry-eyed view of the primary..

PLAINFIELD TODAY:
Letter, Courier: "Williams will do the job in Plainfield"

Obituary: "Gary Coleman, 'Diff'rent Strokes' star, dies at 42"

BP Oil Spill: "Jerseyans join online protest against BP" -- Facebook page, online petitin, boycott.
Franklin Twp.: "New policy at Council meetings gives residents more access to officials"
Waterloo Village: "Historic Waterloo Village partially reopens"

Plainfield observers (click on name to go to post): Bernice has some beautiful garden pix (her flowers shots are always to die for), and finds Jerry confused (as do many, I suspect). Olddoc sets out to enlighten Jerry (a fool's errand?), discusses the Dem primary (with a sly headline) and reposts an item some may have overlooked. Maria finds campaign memorabilia of Mark Fury in her yard (give it to the Library!) and gang graffiti on Carnegie Avenue. Jerry -- what to say? Is it something in the water? Is he not getting out of the office enough? A Jerry-eyed view of the primary campaign (post comments on Jerry's blog here). Plainfield Sports News posts results of Friday's QCBL games in the Battle @ the Rock series, consolation and championship games are TODAY, 1 PM and 3 PM at Rock Avenue ballfields. All are welcome.

PRIMARY ELECTION CAMPAIGN BLOGS
A contested Democratic primary for the Wards 2/3 seat this year has three candidates seeking the party line on the November ballot: incumbent Rashid Burney, New Democrat Rebecca Williams, and former Ward 3 councilor Don Davis. In addition, Jim Pivnichny is an uncontested candidate in the Republican primary. Their online presences are listed below--
  • DEMOCRATS
  • REPUBLICAN
    • JIM PIVNICHNY: (BLOG)
You can only vote in the primary of the party in which you are registered (Democrat or Republican). Registered voters who have not declared a party affiliation may do so on Primary Day at their polling place and vote in the primary of their choice.
Don't miss these personal blogs by Plainfielders, each with a point of view: Rebecca Williams' Confessions of a Bathrobe Blogger; Milani Hernandez' PEPTalk: A PPS pupil's perspective, is that snowman with a mustache? Cool!; Jackie Schnoop's The (TV) Show Must Go On; and Dottie Gutenkauf's Dottie G Sez. There are two personal blogs concerned with the Plainfield public schools: Dr. E=MC², today looking the Race to the Top grants; and Eye on Plainfield Schools.
