In April, CLIPS offered to post links to online presences any candidate may be using for the 2009 primary election campaign. That included notices of fundraisers, rallies, etc. in the calendar section. Snail mail invitations were sent to each candidate, inviting them to email links and notices to Dan and that the links will be in a special section on the CLIPS page beginning Wednesday, May 6. Links above are to those who have responded. Those not responding include: Carol Ann Brokaw-Boles, Bob Ferraro and Tom Turner, as well as Assemblyman Jerry Green.

- Sunday - May 31. 9 AM - 4 PM. 16th Annual FOSH Garage Sale and VWB Yard Sale. You won't want to miss Plainfield's huge garage sale event, this year joined by the Van Wycks Brooks' Historic District's yard sale. Thousands visit the city for the FOSH sale and now will have two neighborhoods to load up from. Look for balloons. United Way's Plainfield Community Council has put together an outstanding house (and garden!) tour to benefit the Queen City's emergency services. The tour features six homes of architectural and historic significance, plus several homes whose owners will open their gardens for the event. A post-tour party at The Pillars (922 Central Avenue) will wind up the festivities. Tickets: $20/person -- gets you into homes, gardens and party.
