- Monday - October 12. 8 PM. Van Wyck Brooks HD Meeting. Members gather for their monthly business and social meeting, this month at Debbie and Maurice's, 990 Central Avenue.
- Wednesday - October 14. 7 - 9 PM. Using OPRA: A Citizens Training Forum. Join with other citizen activists as attorney Walt Lauers and public access activist John Paff demystify the public records request process. - Friday - October 16. 6 - 8 PM. The Drake House Reopens! Join in as the Drake House officially reopens after major capital improvements -- including heating, air conditioning and dehumidifying systems and accessibility improvements -- which will prepare the Drake House for serving the 21st century needs of its Plainfield patrons. - Saturday/Sunday - October 17/18. Four Centuries In A Weekend. The Drake House is one of 25 historic sites and buildings throughout Union County sharing five themed activities on this very popular weekend.
