PLAINFIELD TODAY:
Fall DPW Schedule: DPW tells me the Fall Leaf Pickup schedule went out. If you have not received, copies are available at City Hall, DPW Yard Office, and Plainfield Public Library.
Muhlenberg: "Gubernatorial candidates on healthcare" -- Daggett says Muhlenberg closure is 'a good model'.
Schools: "District recruits home-grown leaders" -- Front page of today's print edition, tho it appeared online on Saturday. Go figure.
McGreevey: "McGreevey honored at opening of new Union City high school"
County Political Parties: "Corzine signs Weinberg bill, changing how county parties are run"
Drugs by Cab: "Two arrested in delivering drugs in Dunellen by cab"
Pay-to-Play: "Green Brook's new ordinance limits political contributions" -- Tougher than Plainfield.
Property Taxes - Editorial: "First 10 of a 20-point plan for tax relief" -- Some good ideas. Don't even ask why I have to point you to the APP site.
Rutgers & Michael Moore: "Mystery solved: Why Michael Moore wears RU cap everywhere" -- Has to do with ... libraries!
Sen. Bob Menendez: "Latino contributions to US history highlighted in his new book"
Stimulus Money: "NJ energy programs get $14.4M funds" -- To be administered by the BPU.

Plainfield observers (click on name to go to post): Bernice: Council poised to stiffen code penalties. Olddoc finds the budget process definitely un-Kosher, but finds some pix to soothe us (love the slots player!) Maria updates us on the student who was beaten, thanks commenters. Councilor Burney and Assembly candidate Vastine tango on 'the truth' about gay marriage. Plainfield Sports News covers the Cardinals, now 0-4.

Also, three personal blogs by Plainfielders, each with a point of view: Rebecca Williams' Confessions of a Bathrobe Blogger, Renata Hernandez' PEPTalk: Revisited, and Jackie's The (TV) Show Must Go On.
